Toddlers — Ages 2 through 3

Our Montessori Toddler program is focused on fostering the development of the whole child in mind,
body, and spirit.   

 

Who should apply?

LGM's Pre-School classes include children aged 2 to 3 years old. We strongly encourage all interested families to follow our 3 step process to get started.

Rich learning environment.

The Montessori Toddler classroom is a rich environment filled with lots of movement, conversation, singing, art, story-telling, working with others as they happily engage in collaborative work and love of learning.

 

Building new social skills.

We nurture each child’s innate sensibilities and Sensitive Periods for building new skills towards gaining independence, such as feeding and dressing themselves, navigating social-emotional situations, learning to toilet, and developing a sense of order — “I can do it myself.”

 

Developing the senses.

We foster each child’s natural abilities in a Prepared Environment in which children self-select hands-on activities from different subject areas. Children manipulate concrete objects in a multi-sensory environment.

  • They deepen concentration and coordination.

  • They build character, confidence, and develop patience.

  • They learn vocabulary to care for themselves, others, and the environment.
